Installing Avast on Win8.1 tablet fails due to lack of disk space

I recently bought a Windows 8.1 tablet, being an Avast user, with a desktop, android phones and tablet all using avast, I thought I would install Avast to my new tablet. I downloaded the offline installer at under 190 mb no problems.
I then choose the minimum feature set to keep the disk usage down and press proceed, to my suprise the installer said it needed more than the 2.25gb left on my tablets internal drive. I find this staggering that an antivirus package needs more than this.
Just how much space does Avast need to be able to install.

This is most likely because the new NG component in avast 2015.
Perform a custom installation and do not install the NG component.
That should work.
