Installing Comodo 3.0 leads Avast to find a virus

Hello

I’ve noticed something interesting. On a fresh, clean install of genuine Vista, I firstly installed Avast free and updated its database. It worked like a charm. After that I installed Comodo 3.0 in “Advanced Network Firewall Engine” mode (also scans for viruses, trojans root-kits, inter-process memory injections, key-loggers, etc.). After a minute or two (even before restarting the PC the let Comodo load on startup), I get a message from Avast forming me that, after a “heuristic” analysis, it has found a virus residing at “C:/PROGRAM” and another one informing me that a virus has loaded into the running memory and asking if I don’t want to restart the PC and do a complete scan. I submitted the file Avast found at “C:/PROGRAM” to the Avast labs and I restarted the comp. and did a full scan. Nothing was found. I sayd to myself that I don’t want a PC which possibly had viruses on it. I didn’t linked this infection with Comodo at first, as I browsed a couple of internet pages and thought that, though I took care by only visiting trusted websites, a virus had slipped. So I decided to reinstall Vista. After this was done, I again installed Avast, updated its database. No other program was installed. I downloaded Comodo (no other webpage was accesed) and proced to install the firewall. All worked fine until I received the same message: a virus residing in “C:/PROGRAM” has been found and that a virus has loaded into my memory.

What do you think? What is happening? Any simmilar experiences?

Could be a conflict between avast and this particular Comodo version:

Can you say what is the infected full file name?

Same thing here. The file is C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\scanners\heur.cav. Don’t know what’s going on, but I reported it too.

Comodo Internet Security has antivirus protection which is not good because two AVs can conflict.

you can install only the firewall

As above, just install the firewall - then njavascript:void(0);o problems!
I did an install and unistall of the Commodo Firewall with Avast set on high andno prob
