I just find this extra security app. and as you know as kind of a Comodo fan boy I installed it. I think it’s extra protection and useful if you decide not to install the SafeSearch Toolbar in Comodo 3 FW (that’s a disctinct product).

but there are those who swear by/at comodo

those who love/hate it
comodo has been “overly agressive”
comodo has had some false positive problems
comodo bundles a BHO-toolbar which you have to “opt out of”
comodo has an AV which you have to “opt out” of
Comodo has HIPS so it is not a pure firewall
comodo is free
etc
I like a layered approach and have some BO Clean and a very little Comodo firewall experience
you have to configure your own security layers
do any of the tools Comodo offers supply the layers you need?
Does Comodo Bo Clean compete/ conflict with Threatfire?
Is one heuristic and the other rules based?
do either compete/ conflict with Windows defender/ t-timer/ etc add your choice here?

Well,
I run Comodo BOCLEAN, Comodo 3 Personal FW and Comodo Memory FW on this computer and there is no conflicts, it is “smooth” and “fast”. I agree you have to test it and see if it really fits your system (looks like it’s a pair of trousers). As for Comodo AV, I think AVAST AV is far superior in virus detection and I’ll stick with the ALWIL experience.
