Thanks Speedy

This is now getting silly. I have decided not to use Immunet. What my avatar looks like is surely up to me. Any chance of closing this topic . I don’t know how to do it.

Can somebody please tell me how to cancel my membership of this forum

Hello it’s all gone quiet. Ardvark has seen my avatar on IE 8. Is this forum Spyware. Please get me out of here. Advark keep spying may God forgive you.

For me, it’s not even shown… I can’t see your avatar.
Nobody is spying nobody here.

Hi…

I don’t understand. ???

I have neither the desire nor the ability to spy on you. What I was attempting to communicate to you was that the avatar you chose cannot be seen by me as you intended it to be seen. It shows up on my browser as a red “X.” This means that there is a problem somewhere. In no way am I telling you what avatar you can or cannot display.

Regards…

Read what the author of hpHosts HOSTS file Steven Burn has to say about Immunet and the falsly named Immunet Toolbar:
http://forum.hosts-file.net/viewtopic.php?p=14087#p14087

I do not like any Toolbar as it is the easiest way to track your movements in the browser

Web browser toolbar add-ons

Toolbars implemented as web browser plug-ins have become a popular advertising platform for major brands, as well as smaller spyware and malware vendors. Browser toolbars are commonly bundled with installers for other “partner” products as an “opt-out” default without the user’s explicit consent.

Browser toolbars provide helpful and useful functionality such as additional search fields, form-fill, links back to popular sites, malware detection, etc. However, their primary purpose is generally to collect anonymous marketing statistics or reinforce a brand (by displaying the logo at the top of each browser window).[2] As plug-ins to the web browser application, toolbars can also sometimes degrade performance or create compatibility problems

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toolbar

They have now removed Immunet.com from their lists

And what about the ask toolbar problem Chris ???

Yes, it is a problem

But you can opt out of installing Ask Toolbar

Must specify two things:
(1)when you first install (very first attempt!) the setup for Immunet 2 doesn’t even ask you if you want to install or not the toolbar! :o
(2)if you abort the first installation, it will subsequently ask you wheter you’d like the Ask Toolbar or not. If your answer is no, it will all the same install some elements of the toolbar, the “skeleton” as it clearly appears in my Explorer Window under the exploitation tab:Ask toolbar quick view but as it is not installed and deactivated in IE it is only a skeleton.
Question now is are we closing an eye on this BAD behavior from the Immunet 2 creators in keeping the program the same or are we shunning away from it in protest!!! I admit it’s hard to decide but they would deserve it if they don’t give us a good explanation (their facebook forum, for exemple)

No Immunet in my computer anymore.

ASK TOOLBAR removed from the latest version 2.0.11.4

For some users

You won’t get this version when you click update

You need to go to the website and download the installer

No more toolbars!

+1

It broke my XP Pro system.

Do you uninstall the old version of 2.0.11.3 before installing or just installed over the top ???

Mind not broken maybe you’ve been bashing your PC to much with your baseball bat ;D

If you go to that link it says the site is NOT listed with them and to disregard any warnings from things such as Site Advisor.

I have been using a small atomic bomb lately with the disasterous new update 5.0.584 that made my XP Pro system catatonic
