Installing Premier in new computer that already has MAcFee

Hi, I got a new laptop Dell XPS, it comes with McAfee, I already have Avast Premier on my PC and my other laptop that is old.
Do I need to just uninstall Macfee before installing Avast or is there any other steps I need to do to make sure Premer gets install well

Use the following to completely remove McAfee: https://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/ or https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11#artTitle

Reboot after running the final uninstall tool. Uninstall McAfee via Programs and Features or Add/Remove, whichever applies, reboot and then run the final uninstall tool.

Thanks! If I already have purchased Premier, I have it on my other 2 computers, from where do I download Premier, in Avast page I only see the option of purchase it, but I already have it, thanks

Good for you: Always have a downloaded installer on hand and keep it around in case of unforseen issues and problems: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=189131.msg1327573#msg1327573
You’ll need to insert your licence when install is complete by double-clicking it. (Your licence, that is.)

Thanks! so I should use the offline installer, download it now and keep it, before getting rid of MacFee?

Not so fast.

Download the offline installer, go offline (no internet connection) uninstall McAfee, reboot, use final uninstall too, reboot, THEN install avast Premier. Insert your Premier licence. Re-connect to internet. Update Premier.

I am at my Avast account, is it the Activation Code, what you mean by License? I got that, but if I click on Download License, it downloads it, but Explorer won’t open it.
I click on Open and the widow comes and goes really fast… can’t see it

You need to have avast installed before you can use the license file.
