Installing the avast antivirus program setup get invisible

Hello,

After downloading the setup of Avast Antivirus Home Edition, i ran the setup of my system, but when the dialouge box appear that have next option i just click on it but the setup window get flash off and disappear from the screen. what should i do now i need the Avast Antivirus program very badly…

There are, at least, two scenarios:

  1. You’re infected and the malware is preventing avast to be installed.
  2. You have another antivirus running in this computer.

For the first, I suggest on-line scanning or a bootable CD.
Or, for the other, you need to uninstall your previous antivirus.

We need more info: operational system, etc.

well i installed new windows in my system, i just save my data to another hard drive and after saving i put it off from my system, after the windows installation i installed drivers, then i go install Avast Antivirus home edition but same thing happens again setup window disaapear with going on next next option… and i did not have any other antivirua installed on my system that should conflict if i have…
Now what should i do ?

Did you reformat? Or just made a dual boot?

Download the latest avast! version and save it.
Use the full download, not the one of Download.com (interative setup).
Will it work?

Yes i download the latest version of home edition but the problem is same when i double click to install a setup window appear when i do next next and select i agree the terms and conditions setup window disappear automatically. i don’t know how i get rid from this problem. Please help me to get rid from this problem…

Read the instructions, download and burn (maybe from another computer), finally use one of this rescue CD’s:

  1. Avira
  2. Kaspersky
  3. BitDefender
  4. F-Secure
  5. Dr. Web

If the computer is clean and you can’t install avast, please, post back.
Did you have any other antivirus in this computer before?
