hello

i know that 2 av in pc creates a problem but i want to know that if i already have avast in my new laptop and i have licensed copy of escan which came free with my laptop so if i do not uninstall avast and if i disable all sheilds for permanently and then i install escan in my laptop. does my laptop will give error and make any problem?

i not want to uninstall avast bcoz it is updated till now and i cant update again and again bcoz i have dial up connection.

i want to check escan how it works. i have license of escan for free so i want to see if it is good then i will use otherwise i will keep this avast. thats why i not want to uninstall avast.i got escan free with licensed thats why i m going to check. otherwise i not buy any av except avast.

help me please.

Disable is not enough in most cases… Keep only one resident antivirus: the one you trust.
Sooner or later, services or drivers will conflict.

Didn’t you have escan on your first machine too with all the problems? Maybe that is why your Security Center was all messed up and got disabled. Now you are having the same problem with this machine’s Security Center too. Could be the same reason.

i unistall free avast now and installed licensed escan.i got escan in my desktop and free avast on my laptop.

my free avast was updated till today and i updated escan now.i deep scanned with avast before n i did not got any infected alert. when i scanned with escan i got 4 files infected in my pc.

why avast did not found infected files?

does free avast not showing all viruses bcoz it is not upgrated with license?

No virusprogram have 100% detection, if they had there would not be a virusproblem on internett

They are just registry entries which are totally harmless without the associated files

u rite but avast must find those infected files also? avast does not have those virus definitions?
escan just completed scanningnow. see screen shot. got 7 infected viruses. does free avast not finding spyware?

The four first are registry entries, not files.
Two of them seems to be escan backup files. You need to adjust the column width to make it clear.
The last one is System Restore file.
Maybe the best to judge will be extracting the files from the escan Quarantine for a safe folder and submit them to www.virustotal.com

The OP did have items quarantined in MBAM (on both machines) and the Security Center disabled.

then why to upgrade to avast pro av and avast internet securiity?

The difference in the antivirus pro is very little.
With the suite (avast Internet Security) you’ll have a firewall and an antispam.

AIS (avast Internet Suite) is an antivirus + firewall + antispam suite.
The avast free is only an antivirus.

Can you pay for it? It will help development.
But if you can’t pay, don’t worry, we can suggest free alternatives.

i cant pay now bcoz i m studing.i will pay for avast when i get good money when i earn from job.i m student so i hope u understand.

Try a freeware firewall. In my personal opinion, in this order:

Comodo
Online Armour
Outpost Firewall Free
