Instructions for making a rescue disk don't work

I followed the instructions to make a rescue DVD,

but when I clicked on the “Protection” tab, this is what I saw,

No sign of any menu remotely close to “Rescue Disk.” Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the Protection tab and click on Scans. It will be in the upper right-hand corner. Please see attachment.
