Hello,
Do I really need to have the Intel Identity Protection Technology firefox plugin installed on my computer, please? Sorry, I could not find anything in the Search box about it. According to the Intel website it is supposed to increase security for computers that have the Intel processor in them, because of past security issues in Target stores, etc. I do have it disabled under plugins and I have not seen any issues from that move. Any suggestions, please?

No you don't, but you also don't need to have avast installed. It is up to you how and with what you want to secure your system.
