Upgraded to latest version: 6.0.1289
Had a program which executes a http/get on a website fail to connect, it stays on “Fetching”.
Unchecked “intelligent stream scanning” and the program works as expected.
Program retrieves data from the internet, no http headers on the returned data, data is raw, so there is no mime type associated with the retrieved data, it’s assumed to be text.

Can you please tell us what program it is, exactly?
We will try to simulate the problem here in our lab.
Thanks

When updating avast, please do not change user preferences?
The problem re-manifested because the update unchecked “Scan traffic from well-known browser processes only” and checked “Use intelligent scanning”.
Can I email you information concerning the program avast is crashing?

You were on 6.0.1289 so what did you update avast too for it to have changed your settings ?
You can post any details concerning your problem here.
“Note” that if you had of replied to Vlk two months ago when you first brought up your issue this would have been solved already.

Not heard of that before ??? sure you didn’t click on restore defaults or do a avast repair which should still keep the settings.

Nope, didn’t do any type of restore, or any type of uninstall reinstall on the machine, this is just plain mind boggling, …
BTW: Didn’t reply to Vik because apparently the yahoo spam filter ate the message and, well, life is busy, …
