Yeah, immunet is not very good… And has tooooo many conflicts…Instead of immunet, MSE is good choice
So why didn’t Google include system utilities like ccleaner or iobit products…
Iobit? Are you crazy? Or joking?
Thanks Bob, so much for their claim of compatibility.
bob3160 post:2718: DavidR post:2717:Why ?
It is meant to be compatible with other AVs.
Since I had run this application without any problems in the past and because of Davids comment,
I decided to re-install ImmunetProtect. After installation, I allowed it to do a check of the programs running in memory.
Big mistake the first thing it did was kill avast!6 IS which was running on this system.
It’s a good thing that I had a fairly recent image to restore my system.
My advice is to stay away from Immunet till it learns that avast1 isn’t a virus. Thanks Bob, so much for their claim of compatibility.
I’d still like to know how they where able to kill avast so easily. :‘( :’(
Why didn’t the self defense mode kick in and give me a heads up ???

MSE shouldn’t be used with avast either, 2 av’s is a no no.

Bob posted this some days ago, but thanks anyway.

Well as someone mentioned, essexboy I think, given Microsoft’s OS knowledge it should be able to repair system issues, etc. Perhaps that same knowledge might well mean being able to load a kernel level driver, in which case it can pretty much do what it wants.
Unfortunately we know nothing about its workings and I rather doubt that it is going to divulge how it works.
Well as someone mentioned, essexboy I think, given Microsoft's OS knowledge it should be able to repair system issues, etc. This had nothing to do with Microsoft. It was Immunet Protect that killed avast! and simply bypassed the self defense shield. :o

Ok atleast ccleaner…
…and simply bypassed the self defense shield. :o
Maybe it’s better to open a thread in the ECC for that.
I’m also interested in an answer, but it could easily get lost here.

How to Add “Disk Cleanup” Option in Drive Context Menu in Windows XP, Vista and 7.
Just thought you might like to know that Defraggler does this by default now with the latest version.
Tool Tip: network activity as a status icon

The Windows 7 network tray icon shows the state, but not if data is being transferred - as was the case with XP.
Using a small tool can obtain the information on Windows 7 to get back. If you move your mouse over the icon in the tool tip, the current values displayed.

I prefer Network Activity Indicator for Windows 7 as it provides much more information and quick access to many more functions:

Personally I use Network Traffic Gadget and that’s all what I need for watching network activity.
For other network controls we have our own tools. But your suggestion is good too.
Another tool to look at:
