To each their own. I prefer the free version with windows 8.
I could never get this firewall to install as it always froze the computer at reboot.
The free (2009) firewall is not even an option as it will be extremely vulnerable as its nearly 4 years old and never been updated.
Why on earth this is still available for download is a complete mystery and should have been axed years ago.
Disagree.
That hasn’t been my experience in the years I’ve used it with XP and now Win8. Has effectively stopped numerous threats and potential hacks as well as for me has been super easy to set up and passes all security tests thrown at it; especially ‘anti-leak’ and DNS vulnerability.

Mine looks as it has for ages, the classic layout.

Mine looks as it has for ages, the classic layout.
It requires some setting changes to make it happen:

Unselect the boxes in the second picture and you’ll return to the old interface. (At least for now.)
Well it took some changes to the settings the last time Google did this (change the layout) to retain the classic inbox setup ;D
So I’m glad it wasn’t required this time as I really don’t need lots of tabs/different inboxes.

It’s fine as long as all the machines have the same Windows version. Useless otherwise.
Automatically create a desktop shortcut when you plug in a USB Drive

The shortcut disappears when the drive is removed.

NetToolset all your favorite tools in one place.
Ping
Traceroute (detailed statistics per hop)
DNS Lookup
Reverse DNS
IP Whois
Domain Whois
Port Scan
NetToolset all your favorite tools in one place.
I’m not trying to go off-topic, but my personal exprience says that for the stuff like DNS Lookup, Reverse DNS, IP Whois, Domain Whois etc usually you get much better result with online web-based tools rarther than standalone program, only for Trace and Ping you need tools in your own end which all OSes (Win/Unix) comes with tools. A web based tools like http://mxtoolbox.com/NetworkTools.aspx offer you much more without having to install any additional software…
So now you have two solutions to diagnose a possible problem.
You choose the one that suits you best or, take them both.
The price for either is very affordable - $0.00
