Speaking of making a mess USB Safely Remove totally messed my XP Pro system and the only way to recover was to FORMAT and install fresh and I even purchased it because I though it was good.
When it was installed new Flash sticks were not recognised that worked on my old XP Home system.
My problem reports are on its forum:

Thanks to TinEye and this neat Firefox Add-on, we can now do a Reverse Image Search.
Hereâs an example:

you donât need this in Win7, the âsafe removeâ option can be tweaked from the device entry in device manager.
edit: yeah I saw there were a few different options in the software discussed here. Iâd never use that in Windows.

I thought that this was a stand alone tool as the image on that link doesnât look like it is going through a browser.
Also the link to download it, seems to indicate stand alone, see below
hXXp://download.windowsupdate.com/windowsupdate/redist/standalone/7.4.7600.226/windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe.
So is there not a means of launching this tool in the Startup Folder, desktop, etc.

guys this is not an MS link at all, I wouldnât advise to install that. Just the download link is very misleading, just don"t trust that.
edit: forget my post, thatâs MS ;D

itâs just the update agent, that wonât bring the Vista/Seven GUI to XP
âŠand as said, you should have it already installed ;D the website (askvg.com) is completely misleading
and now from Microsoft:
Notice
If you use the Microsoft Update Web site to install the latest updates, or you have automatic updates turned on in Windows, the latest version of the Update Agent will automatically be installed on your computer.

whatâs there to laugh about ? that youâve been trying to install something thatâs already installed on all Windows computers through WinUpdate itself.

Strangely enough, I donât have it installed, it wasnât offered in the August or September Patch Tuesday assault.
So visiting hXXp://wXw.update.microsoft.com/ after this batch of posts, when checking for updates if offered to install the latest windows update version which I accepted. Once installed, it completed the check and I have no updates pending, as expected.
