Interesting

Why not ask for the Off Topic forum to be re-opened? Then these topics could be posted legally once more! By the way, on my screen, almost all the postings here and on the Off Topic forum are dated yesterday morning; does anybody else see this? Interesting!!!

You’re new here ;D
There are quite some users that would be happy if that occurs.
Alwil team seems not to be moving toward this direction.

Well, is it OK then to post trivia occasionally on the general topics forum without being afraid of being reprimanded? I get the feeling that Alwil team is looking the other way — and so it seemed logical that there should be a forum for it — maybe it could be called “Trivia”, for example. ::slight_smile: ???
And do you know why all the dates on these old topics show yesterday’s date ( at least on my page)?

Not only those old posts have yesterday’s date, my profile shows that same time as the time I registered and just about every place there is a time for anything, it is yesterday’s date and the same time in the morning ---- what’s going on? ??? ??? ???

Is your profile correctly set?
Is your computer time and date correct?

You’ll see we talk about other softwares and hardwares from time to time… there are limits but they don’t seem to interfere unless it very much off topic.

I don’t know what I’m doing that is not correct, but each time I go over it and type in the month and day, year, hour, minutes, seconds, and click change , it just sits there and that time is then on most posts all over the forums. ??? :-\

Where?

Go to your profile information > Look and Layout Preferences and adjust according to your time difference.

Thanks, Bob!!! I was typing in my time etc. and apparently it should be left blank —
anyway, all dates have gone back to normal.
And thanks for your input, Tech!!! I took a screenshot of the profile change I was trying to do, but I can’t find a way to post it — couldn’t copy and paste — so now I don’t need to post it anyway.

Click additional options and choose the screenshot file you’ve saved in your disk.
The size limit is 200kb.

If you saved the screenshot in an image editor (like MS Paint) as a gif/jpg file then you can attach it to your posts.

I saved it as a text file in my documents, and I opened additional options, browsed, clicked open, and then what? It showed the file in the blank space for attach;, but I can’t get a preview— red letters say the message body was left empty — am I supposed to put a message in the reply message body, and the attachment will post, too?

You can’t save a picture as text file… you will lose it.
Choose any picture format that forums allow to upload.

Success. Very good

But, Guys, this is not a picture; we are talking about the time, how to set it properly. It is working now, but I am trying to learn how to copy my screenshot of the text in my profile just to figure out the system. First, I did the screenshot so it would show “WHERE” as Tech had asked, and I saved it as a text file in my documents, then found that there is no way to copy and paste it, so I am trying to find a way to post it so I’ll know next time — but it is all text, no picture. I see that it posted in an unreadable size, so now what? ???

A screenshot is a picture of yoour screen. Use paint(or similar) to save it as a jpg.

Click on the image you attached to your post. ;D

Absolutely fascinating! Thank you very much!!!
And, Bob, I have been reading your link; I’ll get this terminology down yet, but another day — have to go ----

You can use Gadwin PrintScreen to get a screenshot (http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen/) or the free version of WinSnap 1.1.10 (http://www.filehippo.com/download_winsnap/?2173).

How good is your math ???

I had trouble keeping up with him with a calculator.
