For those of you who still remember our friend Sasha, this is just an update:
“World premiere - dear friends, you’re first to see my proposal to British Columbia’s tourism Facebook campaign.”
“Best of all, my dear wife’s face will be all over Canadian digital billboards since the version #7 is the one they approved. This is version #7:

As you can see, he is doing well and still doing what he does best.

Very good video.

Very nice, good job Sasha!

Thanks Bob, DavidR and OrangeCrate my old friends. I’m trying to make clients happy. How are you all doing? (Hope to hear nothing but good things
Regards!

Doing fine Sasha, thanks for asking. Happy to see that you are too.

Thanks Sasha, hope you and your family are doing well. Have you still got that cute little bird ?

That’s great to hear, I am so happy my old friends are doing great. Wasn’t expecting to hear anything else since it wouldn’t make me happy. I see you all are still going strong, and that’s exactly what makes these forums definitely THE best forums in the World. I was away for couple of years, since my primary machine was iMac, but I’ve never left avast! Free version since my Jessica is using my old laptop and I wanted the best protection out there for her machine. I still do maintenance of my dad’s machine in Croatia (remotely) on a weekly basis, and all these years, his PC never touched anything else but avast! Oh yes, I forgot to mention, avast! is on my Android Galaxy Nexus too. So, as you can see… not much has changed. I just got little older and little lazier, lol.

@DavidR - thanks for asking David. Unfortunately my great friend Chee-Chee left us back in October 2012. An unbelievable little bird, always so calm and friendly. He was super healthu little dude, but in the same time, many years went over his shoulders. We all get too old at one point, his time ran out at the end of 2012 :frowning:

We still have another little budgie (yellow one) that was his good friend since Chee-Chee was 2 years old, and that one is doing great. One healthy, fairly large bird (for a budgie anyway). Brings a lot of happiness in our life and helps us remember our old Chee-Chee.

Here is a short video, compilation of some super old footage from back in 2005, I dedicated it to him. One last good bye!

And here is a picture I took the seconds after his great soul left his tiny body. I held him like that whole hour before he finally gave up. We’ve noticed, there will be no improvement, he was just too tired to keep going on. Every couple of seconds, he would slowly lift his head up, looked at me with those friendly eyes, and then put it back to my palm… like he was trying to say: “…this is it my big friend, this is how the end of the road looks like. Unfortunately, this is where we split…”

So sorry for your lost friend there Sacha :frowning: great little birds Buggies are.

I get small flocks of them flying around here and have even managed to get a few regulars return through the breeding season for a bit of seed we place in the garden for them, I gave a chick that fell from it’s nest to my grandmother years ago and he’s still hanging in there at 11 years now, he’s also developed quite a talkative and cheeky attitude ;D

Sorry to hear of his passing - For a small bird he certainly had a big heart and a great nature/personality, for many people they make great companions.

For some reason I get a block on the youtube link.

Great video, love is unconditional in many animals - I still can’t believe Chee-Chee let you pick him up in your mouth, total trust.

Some very strange youtube offerings for Chee or Chee-Chee offered after your clip ;D

Thanks David. Yes, YouTube searches by the term Chee I guess. Not much to do with budgies or birds in general

Over the last several years, we’ve had techies asking for their own version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
Now there is Malwarebytes Techbench.
If you service computers for a living, this tool will make your day a little easier.
Simply plug in the Malwarebytes Techbench USB stick, check a few boxes,
and it detects and removes malware automatically.
It will even install a copy of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware if you so choose.
A little pricey for me but I don’t fix infected computers for a living. I don’t even own one thanks to avast!

Today, Microsoft has announced they have brought back “Hover” as a free game
that’s been designed to run on modern web browsers such as Internet Explorer 11.
Also works very well on the latest version of Google’s Chrome as you can see
in this video that was recorded while playing the game using Chrome.
You’ll also notice that I’m not a gamer…
