There’s always more than one side to every story.

After a whole month of rain, we now have this strange bright light in the sky. They say it is called the sun.
Your photo looks like prelude to Independance Day.
Spaceship never showed up and neither did the rain.

Now the question that will never be truly answered to everyone’s satisfaction is,
Who did it?

Has anyone else noticed a severe increase
in the amount of Spam mail in their Gmail account
over the past few weeks?
This is my Spam mail just over night,

Yes, but not to that extent, 1/10th of yours. All appear to be dating sites/contacts, etc.
For the most part Gmail puts them straight in the Spam folder, but occasionally one ends up in my Inbox, soon to be sent to spam. This only effects one (my main one) of my Gmail addresses, which is strange as I rarely use my Gmail emails so I have no idea how it have been harvested.

I’ve seen a gradual increase over the past few month
with an occasional, missed spam that wound up in the inbox and needed to be reported as spam.
Over the past week or so, I’ve noticed this very large increase in spam email.
Ten was normal, 139 is excessive.

Whilst I don’t download my Gmail via Thunderbird, I prefer to do that via my browser. I just wonder if the volumes of spam and many could also be considered suspect, if they are scams or phishing that the Web/Mail Shields could alert on. I never opened any up to find out.

I also never open any of them. It’s annoying since I need to look at them
in case there’s a legitimate email in the spam folder which has happened.
I get emails (questions) from club members where I’ve done presentations
that wind up in the spam folder.

For the most part the subject is fairly clear it is spam without having to open it.
Opening it, could give confirmation it has been received, hidden iframe and or external link.
