A newsletter worth reading: http://gary.stanley.net/cyber_news.htm
I met Gary Stanley while I was about to do my 1st
avast! Security Seminar in Arizona. As a matter of fact,
he and I did a double performance that day since through no fault of any one,
Gary and I had both been booked as the speaker of the day.
Gary at that time was a brand new convert by switching from AVG to avast!.
I’m happy to say, he still endorses avast! Free as his recommended antivirus program.
Thanks Gary for being a fiend and hope this brings you a few additional readers.
I woke up this morning and found that my water pressure was almost non existent.
After calling the water company, at 6:00 AM, I was assured that someone would check into the matter.
At 8:00 AM I was informed that no one in Meadow Lake had any water since the pump house was completely frozen.
The representative from the water company said that they had no idea how long we would be out of water.
New Mexico just isn’t equipped to handle -10 deg. Fahrenheit with a wind chill temp of -23 F.
Having no water isn’t any fun, it’s hard to flush the toilet without water. It’s impossible to take a bath or
a shower.
The worst is that you need water to make coffee… :‘( :’(
A construction worker hit the water mains to my bulding with a backhoe and the only way I knew was that I could not make my usuall morning coffee.
I went to a local 24 hours milk store and purchased a 12 pack of bottled water and was able to make my coffee. ;D
I now keep at least 3 bottles of water handy for such an emergency. 8)
Never cared for Folger’s, it’s too bitter. I prefer Maxwell House but lately I’ve been buying the Master Chef brand at Walmart. It’s put out by the Sara Lee Company and is much cheaper than even the Great Value brand. It’s not bad tasting at all either. I get the big can here for $4.98.
Thank you Symantec for allowing me to use your digital wall
to paint this picture and imprinting it on a canvas shopping bag.
It makes a nice keepsake.
You don’t need to be an Einstein to know that avast! is the best.
On the security side, with Avast 6 fresh out of the gate and CNET’s opinion on record,
it’s time to ask you which of the many free security suites available is your favorite.
The big three on Download.com are AVG, Avast, and Avira, although it will be interesting to see
if the download counts are reflected in popularity. We aimed to have all the major players represented. Vote now in our poll and tell us your favorite.
