Going Google-Free: The Best Alternatives to Google Services on the Web

I hope you see the irony of you posting that Bob ;D :stuck_out_tongue:

Not really. I didn’t say that I was looking for an alternative.
I happen to be very Pro Google and use a lot of their very nice and free services.

I’m simply passing along information for those that may not feel the same way.

It’s all about freedom of choice.

I recently had the privilege of doing a Presentation aboard the Norwegian cruise line’s Sky for Avast Software on the topic of Protecting Yourself and Your Identity Online. The presentation was done for the FACUG Technology Cruise.
Every one learned something and we all had a great time.
Here are the pictures and videos that I took from the time I left home till I returned home 10 days later.

Your comments are welcome.

hey Bob nice shots ;)… sounds like you had a wonderful trip didn’t you … see how cool it can be to do an online security presentation ;D

Nice, could not have asked for a better locale for the wintertime.

That brings back memories Bob…except I saw those picturesque views through a periscope but breath taking none the less! Good memories! I hope you had a great time!!

bob3160 will be able to shout at his Windows 8 system:

What “on-line” ??? ??? This was an “up close and personal” presentation. ;D

This is interesting. Maps of your neighborhood that show the names and phone numbers
of your neighbors and a satellite view of the house location. Amazing! Check it out!

Go to website: http://neighbors.whitepages.com
Enter your address, and up comes a map of your area…and a list of most neighbors
and their phone numbers!

I was at my local Senior Center for lunch today when out in front
of the place there was such a clatter,
I rose from my seat to see what was the matter.

When to my wondering eyes should appear
NO, it wasn’t a reindeer.

Parked next to my car I found a strange car,
The Google Street View Mapping Car had come from afar.

I Never expected to see it here since this is just a small community
But I guess Google doesn’t miss any opportunity.

Wonder how long it will take till this new info makes it to the net ?
Sure it will be long after I go to bed.

As you can tell it caught me by surprise,
I still don’t believe my eyes.

;D ;D ;D

lol I’ve never caught one in action so far ;D … but yeah, they’re everywhere I tell you

Bob, it’s because they read your posts about not caring if they track you. They decided to take you up on that more actively.

How Not to Screw Up Your PC with Windows Optimization Tools

I guess that’s also why they sent me the CR-48 to beta test.
It’s still going strong and still the fastest way to get productive on-line.

Sorry Bob, which car was yours again? That one with the funny paint and the joystick on the top? :stuck_out_tongue:

I think we need to get Bob a nationally syndicated TV Show since he lives the “exciting life” and this way he can share it with us “live”! ;D ;D Nice wheels!

You guessed right. ;D

You’ll find some more of my “wheels” here:
