I’ve been having issues with my FPS on my games. I checked Task Manager. Apperently I have a Java program open consuming 90% if not more of my i7 3770 Processor. I’m running the scans now. I’ve attached AdwCleaner.
Added more Logs. Plus a picture.
Nothing is running to my desktop so I’m confused. Is it a Exploit?
I use Java on literally a Daily basis. The only time it’s not used is when I’m on Vacation or if I get grounded or something. As for Reinstalling Java. I’ll try it. I followed it to the C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe.
The only reason why I am worried is because I loaded 4 different malicious sites. All asked for Java to be on and Adblocker + to be off. Given it knew I had Java on and ABP on it said take out ADP. So I did. This was the result. MBAM would 2 PUP files in my recycle bin, no worries there. Already knew about them.
I’ve looked it up. I alot of reports of it killing PC performance. Never had an issue with Java before thoguh.
I suspect I launched some program without knowing is. Like Speccy or something.
(List of programs that don’t work: Skype for Desktop and Speccy (Launches but doens’t show a window))
With java running, it seems everyone who does so, has issues sooner or later. Might want to re-think installing it again, especially since your malware expert will be coming aboard soon (about five hours or so). Any changes you make to your system other than uninstalling java will likely warrant a fresh new scan log to be posted later.
I’d suggest leaving your system alone for now, and allow yourself be guided in the process of cleansing your system under his care.
Please be patient, he’s coming aboard to help you.
Okay. Everything has been hidden. All the drives. File everything. all I can see in the File Explorer is Desktop, Libraries and Favourites. This has been happening on and off. And that task came back after re-installing it and killing it.
Chrome, and Fraps. I’ve closed Fraps before but the java is still there. Same with Chrome. When I have “two” open Java things. 1 is Minecraft.
I just tried to open Task Manager. It’s asking for permission to change my settings. That’s never happened before.
Edit: Should I let it do whatever? It says the verified Publisher is Microsoft Windows. But it just doesn’t seem right. I can’t put my finger on it. Then again I could just be paranoid. Also, I just put a USB into the computer. Just tested it without.
Results W/ USB: It shows all Drives, Folder etc. (This seems to also be random)
Results W/O USB: Desktop, Favs and Libraries
As it stands I am seeing no malware, have you just updated any programmes that may affect the windows display ?
It may be worth running a sfc check
Select search
Type in command
Select command prompt when it appears and on the bottom select run as administrator
In the black box that opens type the following command followed by pressing enter:
sfc /scannow
This will now run a check on the windows system
Once it has completed could you let me know if the problem persists
OK I have now completed running through it and the errors mainly relate to mui and cab files, but there are some access errors which should not be there.
One option available to you is to refresh windows 8
Finished refreshing. Need anymore logs? I’m leaving tomorrow early in the Morning (like 7-8AM atlantic time) so if you do it’ll need to be solved now or in a week; Everything seems to be running smooth though.
