The same Problem here; this is not acceptable ! Frequently the Updates of Avast are making things worse and now even cause the Crash of ALL Browsers…

I have a problem which is a bit different, but quite possibly related: all my browsers (Chrome, Mozilla, IE) do work in general, but when I try to save a file from within a browser - to download an attachment in Gmail, for example - my UI windows looks like in the attached pic. I use Windows 7.
Uninstalling Avast helps.
Please fix this as soon as possible.
I got a same report in the Japanese forums (IE / Firefox crashed) too.
