Internet Explorer won't respond

I ran my first scan and now I.E.10 won’t open and whole laptop performance is sluggish. I moved all virus infected files to the chest. Some of infected files were win32. How do I restore to previous point?

Hi and welcome
Could you please post your issue in the Virus forum so someone can assist you more promptly

THIS FORUM IS NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF GARBAGE.
The real problem questions NEVER get answered as u can see and they repost OLD STRINGS,look at the dates people
There is NO ONE FROM AVAST coming to your aid.
I sent in a report on Sept. 21/14 and there is still no reply.

If this forum is Garbage then why participate.
I doubt any help in life will come with this sort of attitude.
This is a Users forum and support/assistance comes from users.
I suggested you post in the virus forum only because of your mention on virus being found.

I ran my first scan
What scan exactly and with what exactly?
and now I.E.10 won't open and whole laptop performance is sluggish
That is a strong indication that you have things on it that are needed/wanted.
Some of infected files were win32.
That only means they are 32bit files.

No, your system (software) is garbage.
The real problem questions NEVER get answered
Keep dreaming, only over 100.000 have been answered here.
There is NO ONE FROM AVAST coming to your aid.
There is no need to. Other people can, will and are capable of helping you and others.

What do you mean? You have send a ticket? If so, you should learn to have patience. It will be answered/handled.

Sofar I only see one major problem.
It is called PEBKAC!

Hi Janet! Welcome to the forums.

If you desire to restore the infections GUI>Virus Chest>right click>click restore.
I would never recommend doing this…ever. However it’s your machine if you want
an infected computer, that’s your choice.

You could also use the system restore function on your computer. This may or “may not” get
rid of any infections.

The most “intelligent” thing to do is to…
Follow the instructions here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.msg451454#msg451454
And to post here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=4.0

By the way an attitude won’t help you at all.

For virus assistance, These instructions were already provided in the first reply ::slight_smile:

:-X Seems like my bad attitude worked & got me several different options of how to approach this problem!
My mother always said the Squeaky wheel gets oiled.
No disrespect intended towards the users helping on this forum, it is greatly appreciated. I am a newbie as u can tell & thought that AVAST tech support would be responding.

I did post in Virus forum, followed link and that seemed very complicated to me.
Yes, my first response was sending in a ticket & that is what I was squawking about as they have still not responded…how can people afford to have their computers crippled for this long.

I’m sorry, I don’t know what PEBKAC is?? Can u explain please?
