Internet logging on

Hi everyone,
I am new to AVAST and also to this forum.
I downloaded Avast as I had a bad virus ‘Internet Security 2010’ and as you have gathered I am here today to send my praises to the makers. I have done a full scan of my PC which I have Window XP installed and all appears to be fine. The only niggle I have now is logging into the internet as Avast will not allow me to do so without disarming for 10Min’s/1hr or when I reboot. I have been told by a.n.other that when I log on the icon starts to revolve around, but mine doesn’t.
I am sure that there is a simple solution to this problem I am having.
Look forwards to your replies.
Regards
Mike
