Internet Mail Not Scanning

After the last update to 4.7.986, Internet Mail no longer scans inbound mail. It doesn’t matter which email client I use. Before the latest update, everything was working just fine. I’ve tried the repair function as well as all the updates; nothing seems to be working. Please advise ASAP!

Do you use Spyware Doctor?
Can you post the error message from the email program here? (copy & paste)

After posting this morning, I uninstalled the Outlook plugin (since I don’t use that anyway) and everything is workin’ like a charm! I just hadn’t had time to update my post yet. Also, I do not use Spyware Doctor. Is there an issue with this? It would be good to know as I am going to suggest avast! to my daughter and they have Spyware Doctor.

Yes, a bug on Spyware Doctor is preventing the correct installation (or repair) of avast.
