internet mail on access scanner question

is the internet mail on access scanner only applies to mail programs like outlook, thunderbird, eudora, etc., or also when accessing webmails like yahoo or gmail?

if im not using mail programs, can i just disable it?

Internet mail only protects pop/smtp mail.
If you don’t use that, you can disable/remove the provider.
