Ever since the upgrade to the new 2014 edition of Avast, it seems to be blocking my internet connection to my home wireless router.
I know this because it worked fine with the 2013 edition and other anti-virus programmes.
Also it works on other internet connections, but not on my main one. I have to turn off the firewall for my internet to work. Is there anyway to get it to work with the firewall on as I know this is an important part to online security.
I’m having the same problem. I can’t get on the internet after upgrading to Avast 2014. I’ve gone back to a previous version, and got straight onto the internet fine.
Help, is there an easy fix for this ?? !!!

Forgot to say, as well as being blocked from going onto the internet, I then find that my computer has crashed and I can’t get into the task manager or anything so have to turn the laptop off manually.
