avast! Internet Security (5.0.545) on a Win XP 64bit is slowing down my sub-net internet connection for all XP OS’s (to an absolute standstill), whereas Win7 has no problem behind it ?!?

Difficult to say without further information… other security programs, old antivirus (before avast), etc. etc.
