Internet wont connect?

My mums laptop wont connect to the internet.

I try going start > connect to

But I try connect and it says connection has failed. Also theres normally a red light to show if wireless LAN is off or not. I put my finger on it but it will not change colour. It says wireless lan enabled but nothing ???

If you try to repair your connection, does Windows return any info about it?
Which is your firewall?

It seems to work now after mum did restart. didnt work when i tried it =P
