** INTRODUCING: New Official Avast Program Update 6.0.1367 **

Hi all,

I’m glad to announce the general availability of a new avast program update, version 6.0.1367.

Here’s a list of most important changes:

  • Script Shield now works with Google Chrome, all versions of Firefox and Acrobat Reader
  • Improvements in WebRep plugins (especially IE)
  • Stability improvements in aswSP.sys and the avast! sandbox
  • File system shield: improved on-close scanning
  • avast! Internet Security: new antispam engine
  • Web Shield and Script Shield: more options in the UI
  • Added in-product avast! Market
  • Various other security and stability related fixes

Special thanks goes to everyone who helped testing the beta builds.

It is recommended to upgrade to this latest version by using the in-product updater.
Alternatively, you can use these direct download links:

Note: If you have any problems with this new version, please do NOT post to this thread; start a new topic instead. Ideally one topic per issue.

Thanks
Vlk

Cool. The beta was working flawlessly for me (apart from the initial problem with the beta updater). Upading all my systems…

Hi,

thanks for the final one, seems to work stable, at least on my PC using IS.

Just one small, unimportant question (guess we dont need an extra thread for it ;)): Will the term avast! Market be localized to each language or does it stay as is? And thanks to the translators for localizing “Scan traffic from well-known browser processes only”, since for some situations it became a vital option.

For German users interested, we put up some translation of the 6.0.1367 release notes.

Same her no problems in the beta builds, and just updated to 6.0.1367 from the 6.0.1364 beta and no problems.

The avast! Market will definitely be translated - at least to the ~14 languages our website is currently available in.

Edit: sorry, I misunderstood the question. See my answer below.

Thanks

+1

Can you give us a little more details?

NVM i did solve the problem

I’ve decided to keep the homogeneity and let it there as is.
avast WebRep, EasyPass, Market… was kept this way as they’re more or less brand names imho.

Huh, sorry, I misunderstood the original question. I thought the question was about the market itself (the contents) - not the name.

The term “avast! Market” will stay as it is in most languages (some exceptions may apply).

Thanks
Vlk

Vlk, don’t miss this

Thanks VLK,

Will do manual update now, thanks Avast! team…

happy avast user

update was working very well from GUI

Thanks Avast Team! All is fine here.

The problem with the Autosandbox feature not working correctly on files located on my C:\ partition has been fixed!! ;D Also tried all my other drives with no problems. Thanks Vlk . . .

Battlefield 3 battlelog works now w/o changeing anything?

Any more details on ‘Stability improvements in aswSP.sys’

I still watch hoping for ‘fix’ for my BSOD’s - oddballs not reproducible.

We fixed all known issue that could lead to an BSOD.
If you were experiencing any BSODs with the latest version, I’d strongly recommend updating to this latest build asap.

Thanks
Vlk

Updated my systems now.

I had BSODs on Vista many many times so I upgraded to Windows 7 64bit without a BSOD.

I can confirm that.
