" Strange, seems to be working here. Do you see the arrow icon in the list column?
Thanks "
Yes , I see the small arrow , clicking on the field name should re sort the column immediately -
Instead it resorts only if I refresh the window (i.e. click on another AIS section and then return to FW LOG view )
yes, as said I un-ticked what I don’t use to avoid the warning on the tray icon and the “fix now” on the status bar. Anyway, the detailed view is still supposed to show “shields off”, and actually it does again after a reboot, so the normal and usual behavior is back (other than this I always thought than the “shields off” mention, even if just in detailed view, is a bit misleading, when just one shield is off).
yes, confirming it’s still there after a reboot, once you’ve typed your password, you lose focus on the dialog window and “enter” obviously cannot work. Not a big problem
With all the settings ?? I have yet to find the way to export the settings to be able to import them on an other computer…If you knoiw how please let me know
As you know I am very happy that there is a Dutch translation with this release ( And you should release it as it is right now ) but there is room for improvement here and there My question : What is the procedure for this ??? Can I contact the translator, or maybe he/she can contact me ( You can give my email address to him/her ) or something else ???
At a guess, the new localisation will not have the English language .wav files that were used for that.
Though looking in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Alwil Software\Avast5\sounds (will differ in win7 location) location there doesn’t seem to be any English sub folder. So in theory the .wav files should still be there ?
In German version there is no voice. It seems there is a voice only in the english version.
All other languages just have a “ping” sound, but no voice.
This has always been this way in V5, so it’s not unique to this pre-release.
Went to programs, add/delete, started another update from there
Rebooted
Now everything is back to normal. But I had to reboot twice, and after 1st reboot my Fritz!Protect (simple Firewall for Fritz!Box DSL) did not ask for permission for new program versions. That happened after second reboot, now everything is okay.
But it was no “smooth” transition as it would be needed for the “average noob user”! 8)
Well, if the firewall finds out the executables were changed, but instead of asking simply blocks them… it seems to be a problem of the firewall
Just guessing though…
Well - never happened before, and I always install these pre-releases. And it did recognize them - only after I “updated” again and rebooted a second time.
BTW: after the first update process, the UI showed “current vps: 100407-0” “not up to date” “available version 100406-1” and “update now” - strange, isn’t it? I then updated manually the vps, and then everything was back to normal, except the internet non-access.
Not much of a problem though, since I seem to be only one with those symptoms.
