*** INTRODUCING: New pre-release build of avast [NOW 5.0.590] ***

Hi
Which compatibility problem do you mean? The one with linkscanner?

Thanks!

It was a BSOD condition. We don’t quite know what exactly was necessary to simulate the problem, but according to the Windows Error Reporting data we’re getting, it was happening to roughly 400 people a day.

  1. Why aren’t you answering my question?

  2. Strange startup items (runonce) that left after the installation and are, as far I could see, responsible to MS Outlook startup after boot.

Will you make Avast! compatible with Sandboxie in a way like v4.8 was - so that one can scan inside a sandbox (a sandboxed quickscan)? In v5.0 that’s not possible.

Just updated to 5.0.584 hope this solves my problem with system restore

Tech, I have no idea what is “the screensaver bug” so I can’t really answer the question. But I suppose it has been solved, whatever it was.

So, we put ‘the screensaver bug’ (whatever it was) away…

Got the new one and no problems - The screensaver worked on my windows 7 x64 before the update, so I have no idea either ;D

does this new version solve the problem with system restore?
robin

It seems so…

Guys, what is the Avast FTP address ? I have to upload my setup.log for Petr Kurtin.

Greetz, Red.

ooops missed that, too bad someone can’t test it and see if it does it correctly.

robin

Sorry, nothing to restore right now, but it worked for me even in the last version…

That is what I thought too, but I can’t connect in IE :-\

Greetz, Red.

You should be able to connect.
ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming

Well, there are also a couple of free ftp-clients…
But, if we dig deeper into that, we should transfer this to a new thread…!

No :-\

Greetz, Red.

EDIT : Doesn’t matter : If I zip the file it is small enough to mail it to Petr

EDIT2 : And now I can connect :o

Search the forum is difficult to everyone as it is a big forum.

No… It’s pending, at least of a response.
