i am gettin the same problem. I think this service is run by 12 year olds at this point. Have had nothing but problems with this crap.

And i have AVAST! Pro Anti-virus.

I’m seeing the same exact error.
Avast Free version
Windows 7 64bit

Me too. 2 computers.

Getting the same error here too, 32 bit I think not sure…what’s going on? What’s causing the update to fail?

Same problem here . 2 machines .PCwith XP . Laptop with Vista .
Avast Internet Security

getting the same on my computer…invalid signature.hope this gets resolved soon,

I had a problem updating now also…

Getting same message. Windows Vista 32-bit. Hope prob gets fixed soon. Don’t want to go back to AVG<<<<bad stuff.

Getting same here, Windows 7 64bit
:frowning:

Yup… Same here for both the program AND the definition updates. grrrrrrrrrrr It seems to happen near the start when it’s trying to save the existing data before moving on to install the new.

Getting same message also.

Had the same problem but the manual update mentioned here in another thread worked like a charm. Setting Avast to manual update only turns off automatic update; it does not actually update unless you download and run the update.

Me too. I was about to try to fixing it using manual update or a uninstall too.

same poop different bucket ::slight_smile: win 7 64 bit

seems a lot of us are getting this kind of response…threw me for a loop…anyone know about that last post with the link?

Same issue here. Win7 64-bit.

Happening on all pc’s in my house. This one is win 7 64 bit.

checked the link earlier for the manual update.
manually updated, still wants me to update straight through Avast.

seems like a broken update from avast’s side, probably.

same problem here,

avast free
Win XP sp3
32 bit

I have always had mine on atuo-update…it popped up saying it couldn’t update due to invalid file signature…
