Iobit dangerous?

Hello,
I’ve heard alot of bad comments about Iobit that they stole things like the database from mallwarebytes,
But i think the program that they made: Advanced System Care is actually handy and cleans my PC very well
So my question:
Is Iobit actually dangerous and why should i delete if because in every topic where someone says they got something from Iobit
everyone recommends them to delete it? ???
Robin

I would say its a simple ethics question…can you trust a thief?

fair enough :o
maybe someone that knows something good to clean up my PC to with?
if i delete it i need something new to clean up my PC :stuck_out_tongue:
i mean a clean up not deleting viruses because i already got some things for that :stuck_out_tongue:

It isn’t so much dangerous, more concerning those articles of having questionable ethics. Having somehow managed to get a lot of MBAM signatures in their database. After a big stink about it, they have removed those identical signatures, saying it was some sort of coincidence/accident…

Me I tend to stay away from security programs where there is any doubt about the company when there are many other products out there without the questionable business ethics/practice.

For instance the program which the signatures came from MalwareBytes AntiMalware (MBAM).

okay but does anyone knows a good program to clean up your PC (not for virus’s)?

@Robin20

If DavidR an avast! Überevangelist can keep his signature updated with his system specifications then it is good enough for me.

Go to PROFILE then Modify Profile then Forum Profile Information then Signature: with information like my signature as this helps the helpers offer pertinent advice.

Also CCleaner, http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner.

Do not use its useless Wipe Free Space option though.

Forget about anything other than Normal File Deletion (Faster) as that slows down CCleaner more than living in Alaska waiting for Spring.
