Hi DavidR,
This has been done in the past for a lot of programs. Why you think some have Themida to be protected against a resource hack, but Themida again is considered riskware/malcode, so the going gets narrow.
Ban pirate download sites and make it punishable like with non-propriety content, a law that is being phased in in the Netherlands within three years time, illegal downloading prohibited…

Coming soon… IObit Advanced System Care vs ___________.
Haha. Just joking. Anyways, my suspicion seems to be right. A first-time beta software to be on par with the trusted and quality ones would be [font=Chiller]odd.
Okay I have IObit Smart Defrag on my PC and it clean after I’ve scan malwarebytes about 5 mins ago because I download this file from there website at IObit and not from download.com or any other website that when the problem pickup.
It has nothing to do with the IObit Smart Defrag being infected/malware, so it won’t be detected by MBAM or other scanners.
What is at question, is the objectionable practice of the parent company and if that is the kind of practice they are prepared to use should you support them in using ‘any’ of their software.
Read the other topic I gave the link for in my first reply and some of the others and you will get the idea of the objectionable behaviour.
Hi all :
When I first looked into “IOBit” a couple of yrs ago and found they were based in China, I recommended NOT to use ANY of their “programs” because
anything coming out of a Communist dictatorship is suspect . Who knows WHAT may be put into the code !?
Not everything from China is bad.
Hi RejZoR,
I fully agree with you let us not forget about some very good Chinese security programs and developers -
I think of IceSword for instance, China gave us compasses, porcelain, a high philosophy, Kung-fu, delicious food.
Not that I want to defend them, but these copycat practices were also performed in the States and elsewhere, the Chinese started their commercial history as copycats, then we admired them for that, but under these circumstances we do not tolerate it now.
So now this pirate has shot in his own foot really, doing it like they did was so blatantly unintelligent, the software will no longer be tolerated outside China. They blatantly copied everything that was held out at them - keys and fakes and all, if you steal data in such a stupid way “even the crows would bring it out” eventually, and you deserve what you get…

It appears they’re claiming that MalwareBytes are making false accusations and making a false malware sample.
It’s not what the other users are posting there. It seems fishy. Sorry for iObit users (like me).
