My personal opinion is – don’t use the Google desktop search tool. I feel that it has potential to invade your privacy.

For now I’ll continue to use the built in Find tool (found in the Windows OS).

(I’ve been using networked computers since the early 1970s… Over the years I’ve seen way too many “neat little programs” that end up covertly relaying your data to 3rd parties… call me paranoid now.)
