Is Avast 2015 compatible with Windows 8.1?

Hi,
This is Joseph White Wolf and Avast 2015 is proving problematic for windows 8.1. “Windows Defender and Avast Antivirus are both turned off” - this message keeps on flashing at times.
Can somebody give me an effective solutions??

On W8.x WD is a full grown AV, you’ve to turn it off to use Avast.
