Is Avast.com down ?

Hi

I just installed Avast free and when i wanted to register , i couldn’t connect by the program itself but also can’t connect to Avast.com with Firefox and Internet explorer. I tried several times in 2 hours.
I Heard that some idiots (excuse the term) are trying to hack the software., So I am worried.
It’s a brand new Windows 7 32 bits installation and I scanned with Avast free, Superantispyware and Malwarebytes free and no trace of infections.

Are there others who can’t connect too ? I need to be registered ( I know that i have 30 days through)

Maybe they are updating their main site?

Probably some update-work on the server.
Just keep calm and wait a little.

But thought something was very odd yesterday… No Definition Updates! ???

Avast 5 Free … Normally updates Twice a Day!

Once in the Morning when I first boot up 8)
&
Most Days… Again in the Evening!

Yesterday! … Nothing! :frowning:

When I booted up my laptop this morning… " Your Virus Database Has been Updated " … OR … Whatever it is the New Woman says ;D

You are absolutely right, yesterday there were no updates! Today it again updated to 100225-1 and then 100226-0.

Thanks for confirming that it wasn’t just my computers ( Laptop & Desktop ) that didn’t receive a single Avast 5 - Def Update all day yesterday :frowning:

It doesn’t seem that slow for me…

Maybe the slowness could be because of all those people that have now discovered it is online again are browsing it :slight_smile:
