Well… the firewall is a joke, if there is any in this package.
Besides, do you know if there is a free version of the ‘suite’?

http://www1.grisoft.com/doc/35/us/crp/0 can’t see it in the trial downloads ::slight_smile:
there’s a firewall ???
Includes
Anti-Virus protects from viruses, worms and trojans
Anti-Spyware protects from spyware, adware and other malicious programs
Anti-Spam filters spam and protects against phishing attacks
Firewall protects from hackers
just posting this avg stuff-ain’t gonna try it ???
happy with avast!(the best)and the pctools firewall plus on both my windows computers
tech-have you heard of any further info on avast!for my work only mini-mac ???

If it is not free, no thanks, I can get the same protection - and better - for free… no need for suites ;D

I don’t think Grisoft plan to make a freeware suite available.
AVG has had just one 41MB download package for their retail suite for some time now. It includes all the components but only offers installation of those you have paid for.

Tech. What makes you say the AVG firewall is a “joke”? Have you had bad experiences with the AVG AV+FW package?

I’m talking seriously… Read:

Thanks Tech
I didn’t know that AVG FW was such a high-level insertion. I’m not a big fan of LSPs anyway as they are too easily bypassed or just corrupted by installing/uninstalling other apps’ LSPs.
