Is Avast now filled with malware ? cant uninstall browser addons

Whats going on?, every few steps of doing something like uninstalling dodgy browser addons requires you do download and install shit unwanted software like “complete free cleanup”

Those who bother to search forum or FAQ find lots of info >> https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB96#artTitle

Hi Tifka!

First of all: Where did you loose your politeness or didn’t you have any?

Your lines told me, that you never installed s.th. with custom install, but automatically! So it’s only your fault having a lot of dodgy things on your machine!

Thx for the reply, not sure what you mean…the install comes bundled with all this malware? or I managed to install an infected version?

It’s not malware. But I have to agree, the cleanup utility is very much useless. It’s clumsy, you can’t configure it what to skip and what to clean. And demanding its installation to cleanup badly rated browser add-ons is indeed silly. Jut check what add-ons are rated badly and remove them manually from browser if you’ve decided to remove them.

Point 1: You’re welcome. I made an example for you, that you understand (see screenshot).
Point 2: S.th. of that.

Edit: Screenshot corrected (without any advertising).

You could take notice of your own post - the avast user comes seeking help and is already hacked off - you didn’t offer any help.

Had you simply posted what you now have all could have been cleared up without the attitude. Though I have no idea why you are pointing at customising of CCleaner when avast cleanup can easily be removed as that is where the problem lies.

Fortunately RejZoR did seek to clear up the problem - avast doesn’t come bundled with malware - but the avast cleanup goes looking for it if avast cleanup was installed. Like RejZoR I’m no fan of avast cleanup in its present form I haven’t got it installed on wither of my systems.

Point 1: You’re wrong, I offered. You didn’t offer nothing with this post!
Point 2: It was an example!!!
Point 3: Well done!!!

Haha no worries, ive a thick skin…tbh I’ll probably get rid and go back to avira or panda, find stuff like that a bit underhand…avast really really wants you to install chrome don’t it lol.

Thanks for the help, you’re an amusing bunch take care.

I see your attitude hasn’t changed then.

A better example would have been to use the avast custom install.

Point 1: You have your attitude and I have mine! I have another (practical) way
to help others.
Point 2: I would have taken that, if I had it in my mind!
