Is Avast ready for TDSS?

We had an article in our local paper today about a DNS changing virus that’s supposed to kick in Monday. It goes by various names: TDSS, Alureon, TidServ and TDL4. According to the article, if a computer’s infected, you’ll lose your internet service. Anyone else hear of this or know if Avast is on top of it? There’s a website that has more info and links to find out if you’re infected and how to remove it.

Avast has been detecting Alureon for some considerable time now, but like anything there is always a catch-up on new variants.

@ YoKenny
That has nothing to do with TDSS, a rootkit.

Wooooooo! I tried to follow the Info in that avast Blog article, but it lost me.
I sure friggin’ hope I still have Internet on Monday.
