I have Secunia PSI, v2. I just received notification that Google Gears 0.x needs to be updated. I have had Secunia for several years and I have never seen this come up for update before.
In clicking on it in Secunia it says it is located in: C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\sfzone\gears.dll, version 0.5.33.0
Is this an indication of something wrong?
I see that I never received a reply to this topic and now it has come up again as Secunia is reporting it as end of life.
Once again, is this supposed to be in my Avast folder? Can someone please help me with this?
Yep and I had to go into SAFE MODE to delete it but it is now history. 
Thank you for answering. I went to the Secunia forum and someone from there just advised me to remove it in Safe Mode, which I did. It is gone.

Funny thing is that I have 5 computers and Secunia only pointed out Google gears on one. I checked the other computers and nothing.
