I thought this for a long time and I felt so. But now there is a research to prove it. ← You need a sense of humor to understand this statement. If you don’t, then troll.
And exactly how did they get their figures? Is there now some embedded thing that spies on you and retrieves your school records or something? ;D
If there is, I suspect Google, as usual.
Okay I read how they got the numbers but, consider this, only the IE users stupid enough to actually take an online IQ test are included in the numbers. ;D
Internet Explorer story was bogus
The story claimed that users of internet explorer had a lower IQ than those who opted for other browsers appears to have been an elaborate hoax.
They couldn’t make 64 bit default because other company’s were so far behind in 64 bit development at the time of windows 7 release, ie ADOBE FLASH for one, and they still dont have a stable for 64 bit.
Trolololoo!!! I did a Google Search for that company, and instead of showing they’re website, it appears all the hoax of this IE story. lol. And it is true, they did copy Centrel Tech’s website design. Go there, and compare and contrast. You will find the same pictures and icons.
After all the media attention, they confirmed it’s a hoax themselves. Look at their website (http://www.aptiquant.com/):
AptiQuant was set up in late July 2011 by comparison shopping website AtCheap.com, in order to launch a fake “study” called “Intelligent Quotient and Browser Usage.” The study claimed that people using Internet Explorer have a below than average IQ score. The study took the IT world by storm. The main purpose behind this hoax was to create awareness about the incompatibilities of IE6, and not to insult or hurt anyone.
AptiQuant is not related to Central Test in any way.
Knowledge is never an inferiority complex, and the truth is always welcome even if it hurts sometimes. I believe this foro is for that, to look for real solutions or debate a problem, or in this case to unmask a hoax.
