I’ve been attempting to install Microsoft Visual Studio 6 Professional Edition, on Windows 7 Ultimate OS, but I’ve been receiving installation errors. After reading about similar errors on Microsoft’s site, I see that they recommend disabling all antivirus software before VS installation is attempted. However, so far I haven’t been able to determine a way to temporarily disable Avast, without completely uninstalling it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
Have you tried right clicking on the avast icon and clicking on avast shield control? Then disabling all shields?
And do not forget to turn the shields on again.
