I do programming and every time I want to test a program I am working on Avast wants to scan the program first. I wrote the program; I know there is nothing bad in it. ;D Is there a way to white list a program?
Thank you for the reply but that is not quite what I wanted. I need to just tell my own copy of Avast that a certain program name is ok and does not need to be scanned even thought the program file had changed. I am testing/debugging the program so every time I run it the file will be different.
Ah, I just realized I am talking to a BOT. VERY irritating!
Nope, Asyn is a human.
Why not set a exclusion for the folder where you test things ?

Only 'Probably Bot.
Here you have the real thing ‘Certainly Bot’ no ‘AI’ on the avast forums
It is just a forum administrator with a sense of humour.
Thanks for the answer. I feel a little foolish now. I looked and looked for something in the menus and the answer was staring me in the face. I even looked for “Exclusions” :
You’re welcome
Oh, and don’t feed the bots or they will come back ;D ;D
