Hello, I’ve a question that pop up out of my curiosity.
Is it risky to be the top well-known anti-virus?
Of course, being well-known is an advantage, but what about the disadvantages?

I don’t think there would be a disadvantage for being a well known anti-virus company. Companies will create definitions to stop viruses either way. Malicious codes generally aren’t created to attack a single anti-virus program or even created for that purpose (at least nowadays). Of course, there may be impatient end users that expect solutions faster from well known anti-virus companies.
Well if you’re well known you get targeted more, meaning malware will be written to avoid detection. On the other hand, being popular means that technologies like file reuptation and WeRep will work very well. Such features require large user base to work properly.
