Is Mac App Store safe ?

Hello, I just bought from the Mac App Store a software to clean my disk drive, and when downloading it, Avast blocked and quarantined the new software because of infection MacOS:Tuneupmac-A [Tool].

My question is : is it possible that Avast made a mistake, or does it mean that the Mac App Store is not safe ? Should I ask Apple for reimbursement ?

TuneupMyMac seems to be a useful tool, however, due to its association with various adware and PUP’s, security experts find it disturbing to see this program running on the computer.
