left click the blue ball.
you well probably have to click the button for more detail to get a list of scanner’s.
default shows only standard shield.

Providers are only required if you have the programs that they support, so some might not be required.
If you don’t have MS Outlook (not Express) then the Outlook/Exchange provider shouldn’t be running, 1 down.
The ones you most definitely need enabled are, Standard Shield (essential), Internet Mail (email scanner), Web Shield (internet scanning), Network Shield (not a firewall but scan for certain common virus exploits).
Others, Instant Messaging (only required if you use IM programs), P2P Shield (only required if you use peer 2 peer file sharing programs).
