Hello. I have a question about what to do with my camera’s SD Card. I tried to google the problem, but none of the results that I looked at seemed to answer my question.
I have a Fujifilm Finepix Jz100 camera and a 8GB SDHC Sandisk SD card in it. I formatted the SD card with my camera as soon as I got the card. The rechargeable battery rarely gets taken out of the camera, save for when I recharge it. I also take a lot of pictures. Would either one of those factors cause problems?
For about a week, the SD card worked fine. However, yesterday, when I turned on the camera to take a picture, “SD Card Error” appeared on the camera’s screen. The camera worked perfectly fine besides the fact that I couldn’t take pictures or look at the other pictures on the SD card.
I took out the SD card, blew in the SD card slot in the camera, and put the card back in. Then everything worked fine again and has ever since. I even put the SD card in my computer and everything seemed okay. There didn’t seem to be any corrupted files or the like.
So, I was wondering, is this a sign of a defective/bad SD card? Should I format it or was this incident just a random malfunction that I can ignore?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards.
