I had Firefox 1.0 and then decided to install 1.0.1 over it.
All was well. Then I found that both versions were still on the PC, so decided to uninstall them in safe mode, did a reg.cleanup and tried to do a clean install of 1.0.1
I got the above message in an error box headed 7.Zip. I tried the download on 2 sites, Tinyurl and the official Mozilla page, both with same result.
Is my machine infected? Or can anyone tell me what has happened, remembering I am not the sharpest technical tool in the box!
Mozilla - Firefox doesn’t recomend installing over the top of the old version, rather uninstal old version, install new.
You may have messed and settings left behind, e.g. ‘C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox’ you may have to clean that out too and start fresh?
I am sure I do…My grandson set up my PC as the main one, with me, my hisband and grandson having accounts. Husband and I are on a wireless network. Grandson is hardly ever here, only twice a year.
When you start an on-demand scanning (clicking on the icons of the Hard Disks or Folder Selection for instance) you’ll see the slider of the Thorough Scan and the option for scanning archives…
