I started getting a small window in the middle of the screen that says “OK2” on the top, and a button marked “OK”
in the center. It has only happened twice so far. Each time I click the red “X” in upper right corner.
(Maybe) I am paranoid, but the computer seems to be running much slower recently.
I have also, for the first time ever, seen this small Information window with OK2 pop up on my screen just a few minutes ago. I have been online all night with Google Chrome running in the background while I worked with some graphics programs (Gimp2 and Picasa). I have not downloaded any new programs, nor have I rebooted in the last 24 hours or so. It appeared connected to an icon on my bottom bar showing open windows as a standard program type thing with what looked like a green camera next to the title “Information.” I’m running Vista. No other symptoms.
I will try to capture a screenshot next time I see it.
As I recall it was different from the 2 shots above. Mine did not
say “information” in the top bar, only “OK2”. In the window area,
it only contained the “OK” button. I have only seen it twice, and not for the past few days.
Here is the first Log created by Adwcleaner search. It is an odd coincidence that the first thing it lists is BrowserCleaner,
the thing I noticed as taking up a lot of cpu time.
Next item is a file C:\END. That file contains one word: ConduitOK.
Can’t get otl to finish. Nothing else running on pc, but it keeps rerunning the program. It created a restore point and then started over. 45 minutes and still going.
