I wanted to add that I just had this happen as well. Same as the naked robot picture dudes screenshot (minus the robot). I hit the x on it and it hasn’t come back up.
The only things I did tonight was install a new keyboard (fried my old one) and was sitting on chrome looking at facebook, zynga.com and watched a youtube video from League of Legends.
Ran spybot and it only found two things that were minor. There wasn’t much running on my computer at the time of it and in the Task manager all it said for the “ok2” thing was “Information” as the name of the running popup. Very strange. Also strange that I can’t find anything online about it except this forum post.
I have the same thing. I’ll watch this space while trying to find out what’s going on. Will let you know any findings.
I had the same strange ok2-information box - everytime I started my PC the last several days. Watched the processes and realized “UpdateTask.exe” - the only automatic-update was google Update in the system configuration. For now I removed the checkmark…lets see what
s happening.
This showed up today on my PC. While I don’t recall installing anything yesterday, two days ago I installed some sort of RAR extraction utility. I went into the installed programs and removed the utility moments ago and found this icon that matches the icon that showed up in the task bar when I got the OK2 prompt.

Do you guys have this “Update for Zip Opener” listed in your installed programs? I don’t know how it got there.
When I went to remove the installed program, this is what I received.
I uninstalled Zip Update, restarted my computer, and I no longer get “Information ok2” popping up. I don’t recall adding this update to my computer. Computer seems to be working fine.
I also found the ‘Ok2’ popup on my desktop yesterday June 13 at 7a.m. it popped up during the night while I was not working.
Reading through this thread… in my Programs and features I have a new program that I ‘did not ask for’, same icon and installed three weeks ago, called “Update for Codec Pack” with the same Green icon that eficonnection posted for "“Update for Zip Opener”. It showed up while I was using Chrome a few weeks ago and innocently enough asked me to update the codec pack exactly when I was watching some video. Once I did that I had a new search bar show up by default on new tabs in Chrome. I removed it (can’t remember the name) and thought that was the end of it… not!
Uninstalling “Update for Codec Pack” brings up the same confirmation that eficonnection posted “Uninstall DSite update process?”, Clicking ok produced a ding and a message “Uninstall completed successfully”.
Post uninstall… I still have the following on my (Windows 7) system: c:\users<username>\AppData\Roaming\DSite folder. This folder has a folder called “UpdateProc” that has two files:
File 1:
Name: TTL.DAT
Association: Notepad
Content: the string “6014” (may or may not be related to the fact that today is June 14)
File 2:
Name: config.dat
Association: Notepad
Content: the string “1368002220|0U1V0T0MzutDtCtAyCtN0U1V0D0TzutBtDtCtAtDyDtByCtN0U1V0S0D0TzutN0P1C1F1Q0N1T1H1Pzu0C1F1Q1P1RtOtBtD0P1T1R1J”
Removed the two files and the two folders and will see after reboot.
I have been having this problem for the last few days, after I downloaded Acronis True Image software so that I could read the tib files on my busted hard drive. The program “Update for Image Editor” with same green file icon mentioned above, also appears in my list of program files. I suspect it is related to the Acronis.
I added Zip Opener last month to open a specific program; can’t remember what it was. I didn’t recognize the icon in the lower tray when I received the “Attention” message with “OK2” in the message box. It seemed to cause no harm, but it didn’t need to appear.
Thanks for researching and finding the “update for zip opener.” I decided to remove the software. Who needs it when so many other Zip and Unzip programs exist and don’t cause the unnecessary message.
I suspect I won’t see that message again.
I had the same thing pop up a couple of days ago. After reading the posts here, I looked in my Control Panel under Uninstall a Program and found the green Folder/Network icon with the name Update PDF Creator as the app. I removed it.
I find it interesting that multiple people had the same thing affect their computers on the same day, with the Same icon, but different names. When I uninstalled the ‘program’, I also got the same message ‘Uninstall DSite update process’. A search on DSite update process on Google resulted in no hits.
Given the above, I believe that this is some sort of malware/virus/adware, albeit an apparently innocuous one. MalwareBytes found 3 Adware items on my system when I ran it the same day the dialog popped up, but removing them did not solve the issue.
I’ll know if it is gone when I do a full power down and restart, although I won’t be completely confident until I have done this a few times).
I suggest you use winrar for your unzipping and zipping purposes.
I have had the same problem as well on two different machines the name was different on both machines , however it did start with “Update For” and had the same icon - this appears to be the last thing i installed on each computer,Machine 1 was “Update for Image Pack” on machine 2 it was “Update for Codec Pack”
Just a little food for thought
could it possibly have been installed by a Toolbar? as on both machines i had downloaded something that installed the Delta toolbar automatically
has anyone else had the same thing happen without Delta toolbar?
uninstall “update video convertor” software from control panel / software
Use malwarebytes to remove delta toolbar.
I did get rid of the toolbar with malwarebytes , i absolutely hate toolbar 's and get rid of them almost immediately.
I have the same (OK2) in connection with the Delta-Search Toolbar, which I don’t get rid of.
how to ?
I have had this pop-under (it never appears on top) for the past 2 or 3 days. Each time I have seen it, I have closed everything, rebooted, and run a virus scan, which turns up nothing.
Looking at my programs, I saw that the last two programs that were installed were Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, which were installed on June 12. I uninstalled them. I downloaded Malwarebytes and found nothing.
Then I looked for a program with the same icon I had seen whenever the “pop-under” appeared, which looked like a green folder with a circular arrow. Sure enough, it was there for "Update for Mipony Download Manager, which it says I installed on 4/1/2013, which was the same day I installed VLC mediaplayer. I don’t remember ever seeing Mipony Download Manager, and I haven’t used VLC mediaplayer, so I uninstalled both. When I clicked to uninstall Mipony Download Manager, it said, “Uninstall DSite update process?” I said yes, and it said the uninstall completed successfully.
We’ll see what happens!
